There has been a nice reaction at both the 9600 and 9650 areas before the cable has inched higher near the 1.97 handle. Look to sell around 1.97.

After bouncing up 40 pips from 154.00 the eur/jpy has taken another tumble. The 152.80 are seems to be holding now. This is the area I would look to put on a position.

Just closed out cable shorts from 1.9770 at 1.9570 and looking to get long again around 1.9550-1.9500. What a move!

Dollar remains weak across the board today on rate cut expectation. If the Fed does deliver a 50bps cut on Jan 30, will bring the federal fund rates to 3.75%, below ECB's key rate of 4.00% for the first time in three years. EUR/USD breaches 1.49 level briefly on persistent buying and is set to test record high of 1.4966 and 1.5 psychological resistance.

Trend Trade Setup: After a nice rally today the cable has moved lower to 1.9500. Look to get long around 1.9500 and 1.9450.

The euro is holding onto its gains. All you have to do is manage the trade now.

EUR/USD: No Euro news out, and USD is looking a bit weak technically across the board.

The only thing is that all the people that saw the potential going long have already put their money in.

All the one that are just realizing it are waiting for a lower price to get in.So I think it may retrace further down before it goes back up.

The cable broke down through 1.9700 to 1.9671 for a brief moment and is back at 1.9716. This looks like a major reversal in process. Look for a place to get long on a pullback. Remember NFP is in the morning.

The euro has found strong resistance at 1.4750. There has been selling interest here that has been absorbed by more buying. I expect resistance to break on the next attempt. Look for a place to get long so you can catch a continuation move higher. The initial target areas are 1.4690-1.4650 or on the break of resistance.

The eur/jpy has also been consolidating and forming a base around 161.00 most of the day with a dip down to 160.76. If this holds this is the area to start getting long.

If things change as we get closer to news, I’ll send an update on these setups.
